  • Lighting

    UPM works with Energy Star certified lighting products to maintain energy saving standards through the usage of fluorescent lighting and timed/sensor lighting to ensure safety and efficiency in common areas. Timed lighting is also implemented to continue reducing energy usage. As UPM continues to grow, new communities feature LED lighting in lobbies and common areas.

  • Green Appliances

    UPM communities use Energy Star certified appliances in its laundry centers and in all apartment homes. These Energy Star appliances are government certified and proven to save water, energy, and money on the utility bill.

  • Recycling

    UPM partners with its various garbage-collection vendors to create an easy single-stream recycling program that allows residents and staff members to place all recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, glass, plastic, and cans into 1 container. No separating is required, thus encouraging maximum recycling efforts.

  • Green Office Procedures

    To reduce paper waste, UPM implements highly secure digital services to process all resident leases digitally. Our residents to register onto our online portal to pay rent online and receive digital communications. UPM also utilizes web-based storage systems to store important documents.

  • Green Maintenance Procedures

    UPM Maintenance Teams promote green initiatives through the use of low-VOC paints in apartments. These paints reduce landfill, groundwater, and ozone depleting contaminants. Electricity is also disconnected in vacant apartment homes to limit wasteful usage and sprinkler systems are adjusted when it rains to conserve water.

  • Supporting Clean Transportation

    UPM encourages healthier means of transportation by supplying bicycle storages in the communities. Multiple UPM communities have electric car charging stations available, encouraging residents to operate fully electric-based vehicles.

  • Enhancing Open Areas

    UPM has enhanced various green spaces in the communities to create Playgrounds and Dog Parks for our residents to enjoy. UPM looks to utilize any available green space to give our residents maximum usage of the space provided within the community.

  • Future Plans
